Basketry-covered brown glass bottle (possibly beer bottle) with flat base, cylindrical body, tall straight neck, and handle attached at shoulder and rim; basket is woven primarily in plain twining technique, with several rows of 3-strand twining on base and in final row of twining at rim; Warp material is hazel shoots and primary weft material is conifer roots; Designs are woven in full-twist overlay technique, using natural colored bear grass leaves as the background and black maidenhair fern stems for the actual designs, which include circular ticked band on base, 3 bands of large 8-point stars or half-stars on the sides, a band of small parallelograms around the shoulder, and a narrow ticked band around the neck; Handle is decorated with spiral bands in alternating light and dark colors; Upper neck of bottle is exposed, indicating a woven basketry cap originally accompanied this piece. |

Deep round basket with flat base, flaring lower sides, and vertical upper sides, woven in coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and include solid black circular area in center of base, encircled by small, widely spaced diamonds; Two parallel bands of small rectangles that are stacked diagonally to form a very wide zigzag band encircles the sides of the basket; Individual rectangles making up the zigzag band are joined to the rectangle above or below it by narrow black lines, and also to the one across from it by wider black lines, resulting in a complex pattern of both horizontally and diagonally stacked elongated negative rectangles; Final rim coil is decorated with an overstitch of black devil's claw. |

Cylindrical basket with flat base and vertical sides, woven entirely in closed plain twining except for four paired rows on the base where the warps are exposed and crossed and a single row of 3-strand twining at the junction of the base and sides; Warp and weft material is rye grass stems; Designs are of silk thread, are woven in false embroidery technique, and consist of band of stacked triangles (in colors of orange, purple, pink, green and red) around midsection of basket, flanked above and below by band of open terraced diamonds in pink and pale blue, all framed between narrow terraced zigzag lines in yellow and brown; Matching round and slightly domed lid has short side that fits over rim of basket and central flat-topped knob handle on short thin stem; Lid is woven in closed plain twining; Designs on lid consist of concentric green, yellow, red, and purple bands on knob handle and similar motifs in similar colors on wide shoulder of lid as those found on basket. |

Miniature model of a baby carrier containing cloth doll; Basketry carrier comprises a flat oval back panel woven in spaced coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Mounted to the front face of the panel are the sides of an oval basket (the panel forms the underlying base) which slopes inward as it rises to the rim; Lower half of basket's mouth is woven in a random sewing technique to form a partial protective covering for the baby; Warp material is pine needles and primary weft material is undyed raffia grass leaves; Designs are woven of dyed raffia grass leaves and consist of running stitch of blue raffia along outer edge of backboard and along lower edges of protective covering over the baby, and series of pink "X" motifs around edges of backboard and random sewing stitches on basket's protective covering; Miniature doll with brown cloth face with black wool facial features and hair and whose body is wrapped in red cloth is lying with the baby carrier. |

Elongated basket in the form of an alligator in walking position, woven entirely in open-spaced coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is pine needles and primary weft material is undyed raffia grass leaves; Alligator's body is oval-shaped and constitutes the actual "basket" with a flat base and vertical sides; Separate open-ended (at one end only) oval shaped basket is attached to one end of body in inverted position to form the animal's tail; Two separate and very shallow, open-ended (on one end only) baskets are also attached to opposite end of the body, forming the head and hinged jaws of the alligator; Four separate coil-wrapped legs and feet are attached to sides of the body; Separate oval lid with interior lip fits into back cavity of alligator's body; Upper side of neck, body (including lid), and tail are covered with overlapping individual pine cone scales to represent the alligator's skin texture; Eyes and interior of mouth are woven of dyed red raffia grass leaves. |
